Job Description

Join a high-impact analytics role that turns KYC operational data into clear, decision-ready insights. Help leaders improve productivity, reduce backlog, and strengthen controls through trusted reporting and root-cause analysis. Build scalable dashboards and automated metrics that enable faster, smarter execution across KYC operations.

As a Know Your Customer (KYC) Management Information Systems (MIS) & Analytics Analyst within Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) KYC Operations, you transform operational data into accurate management information, dashboards, and actionable insights. You define and govern key performance indicator (KPI) and key risk indicator (KRI) logic, validate data integrity, and clearly explain performance trends and movements with a strong controls mindset. You collaborate with Operations, Quality Assurance, Controls, Compliance/Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Technology teams to enhance transparency, promote remediation initiatives, and enable data-promoten decision-making across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce daily/weekly/monthly MIS packs covering volumes, productivity, TAT/SLA, aging, backlog, and exceptions.
  • Build dashboards for onboarding/refresh/remediation performance with drilldowns by segment, region, team, and risk tier.
  • Automate recurring reporting to reduce manual effort and improve timeliness and consistency.
  • Define KPI/KRI definitions, calculation logic, thresholds, and ownership through a governed metric catalog/data dictionary.
  • Track operational risk and control indicators (e.g., overdue reviews, policy breaches, repeat defects, rework rates).
  • Extract data from source systems (workflow/case tools, screening tools, CRM, document repositories) for reporting and analysis.
  • Reconcile outputs end-to-end and clearly articulate “why the number moved” using sound control checks.
  • Implement data quality checks (completeness, duplicates, outliers, trend breaks) and document limitations.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on SLA misses, backlog spikes, and quality defects; recommend corrective actions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate questions into structured analyses and crisp narratives for senior updates.
  • Support change delivery via UAT, version control, documentation, and periodic risk assessments of dashboards/tools.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Demonstrate strong MIS/reporting/analytics experience in KYC, AML, onboarding, or operations environments.
  • Use advanced Excel to build scalable packs, controls, and analysis outputs.
  • Apply at least one of SQL, Alteryx, Python, Power BI, or Tableau to automate and/or visualize operational metrics.
  • Build operational metrics (TAT/SLA, aging, throughput, productivity, quality/error rates) with clear definitions.
  • Reconcile data across sources and maintain a strong control mindset with auditability and lineage.
  • Communicate insights succinctly in written narratives and verbal updates for senior stakeholders.
  • Analyze multi-driver performance trends using descriptive and diagnostic techniques to identify levers and actions.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Leverage workflow/case management tools to extract operational data efficiently.
  • Apply control reporting concepts, QA defect taxonomies, or regulatory remediation tracking approaches.
  • Design automation approaches (ETL pipelines, scheduled refresh, standardized semantic layers) for repeatable reporting.
  • Understand KYC lifecycle stages, periodic reviews, trigger events, and remediation programs.
  • Interpret risk segmentation concepts (risk rating, EDD drivers) to enable meaningful slicing of metrics.
  • Ensure control expectations such as audit trails, evidence retention, and consistent definitions across reporting.
  • Develop self-serve reporting capabilities for individual contributors, managers, and leadership audiences.
