Job Description

The Associate AI Platform Engineeris responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining AI platform components and application software that enable machine learning and Generative AI use cases. The role supports the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-quality solutions by translating business and technical requirements into working systems.

This role works closely with senior engineers, data teams, and AI use case squads, contributing across the full software development lifecycle including development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of AI platform applications and supporting systems.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into well-structured, maintainable software solutions.
• Develop, configure, and support application software using approved standards, tools, and frameworks.
• Contribute to system and program documentation, including technical specifications and operational documentation.
• Support production systems, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Follow Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes to deliver work with required quality and timelines.
• Develop and execute test scripts and scenarios aligned with testing plans and standards.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and testing practices.
• Comply with ITIL processes, change management guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with data delivery teams and AI use case squads to onboard new use cases onto the AI platform.
• Participate in post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform stability and sustainability.

Job Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of overall technology experience.
• At least 2+ years of experience in application development and/or application support roles.
• Experience working with Machine Learning models, including deployment or evaluation in a platform environment.
• Basic understanding of LLM evaluation metrics and frameworks, including deterministic and subjective measures.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills using relevant diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, particularly incident, change, and problem management.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Good documentation skills and attention to quality and auditability.

Technical Skills

• Programming experience with Pythonand SQL
• Hands-on experience with Databricksor similar data engineering / AI platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD and software delivery practices, including automated builds, testing, and deployments.
• Familiarity with platform automation and DevOps tools such as AWS services, Jenkins, GitHub, or similar.
• Experience using workflow and agile tools such as JIRA or Rally
• Exposure to databases and data pipelines is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
