AI & Machine Learning Intern – Global Payroll Technology Team

Location: Bangalore, India (Hybrid)

Duration: 3 - 6 Months Internship

Department: Payroll Technology & Business Intelligence

About the Role

Payroll Technology is building the next generation Global Command Center, a platform that combines payroll operations, automation, analytics, data intelligence, and AI-powered decision support. This aligns with the team's AI & Innovation and Payroll AI capability pillars documented within Payroll Technology.

We are looking for passionate engineering students to join our team as AI & Machine Learning Interns. This internship provides an opportunity to work on real-world AI initiatives, data-driven products, intelligent automation solutions, and next-generation payroll intelligence capabilities used across global payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and testing AI and Machine Learning models
• Support data preparation, cleansing, transformation, and feature engineering activities
• Build prototypes for AI-powered business solutions and intelligent automation
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights
• Develop data pipelines and model evaluation processes
• Work with APIs, databases, and cloud-based AI services
• Collaborate with software engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
• Participate in model testing, validation, and performance optimization
• Research emerging AI technologies and contribute innovative ideas
• Document AI solutions, experiments, and findings

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Python programming
• Good knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms
• Basic understanding of Machine Learning concepts
• Familiarity with data analysis using Pandas and NumPy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of statistics and mathematical fundamentals
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a collaborative environment

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Scikit-learn
• Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, or Prompt Engineering
• Knowledge of SQL and databases
• Experience with Git and GitHub
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
• Academic, personal, or hackathon projects involving AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Analytics
