This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Admissions Advisor based in Canada.
This is a fully remote opportunity for a people-focused professional who enjoys building relationships and helping others take meaningful next steps. You’ll be one of the first points of contact for prospective students exploring education and career opportunities. Through high-volume outbound conversations, you’ll learn about their goals, motivations, and interests while helping them determine the right path forward. You’ll develop strong communication, consultative selling, and relationship-building skills while working toward clear performance goals. The role offers structured coaching, ongoing development, and a clear pathway toward an Admissions Advisor position. You’ll join a collaborative admissions environment focused on creating positive experiences and supporting student success.
Accountabilities:
- Conduct high-volume outbound calls to prospective students who have expressed interest in available education programs.
- Build rapport quickly, create a positive first impression, and engage prospective students in meaningful conversations about their educational and career goals.
- Ask thoughtful questions and actively listen to understand each prospective student's motivations, needs, concerns, and readiness to pursue further education.
- Answer initial questions and help prospective students assess whether their program interests align with their personal and professional objectives.
- Pre-qualify prospective students and connect engaged, qualified candidates with an Admissions Advisor through scheduled appointments or live transfers.
- Maintain a consistent outreach schedule and work toward individual and team conversion, productivity, and engagement KPIs.
- Accurately document conversations, prospect information, follow-ups, and activities using relevant systems and processes.
- Manage follow-ups effectively to maintain a healthy admissions pipeline and ensure prospective students continue progressing through the appropriate next steps.
- Collaborate with Admissions Advisors and other team members to support recruitment initiatives, share insights, and contribute to student-focused team goals.
- Take ownership of personal performance, actively participate in coaching, and continuously improve communication and relationship-building techniques.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, retail, call centre operations, admissions, recruitment, or another people-focused environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to build rapport and establish trust quickly over the phone.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to listen actively, ask relevant questions, understand needs, and guide conversations toward an appropriate next step.
- Comfort working toward measurable goals, KPIs, and performance targets in a high-volume outreach environment.
- Resilience and positive energy when handling a high volume of conversations, including situations where prospects are not ready to proceed.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage follow-ups and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and remain productive, accountable, and focused in a fully remote environment.
- Openness to coaching and feedback, with a genuine interest in developing sales, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established processes while adapting communication to different prospective students.
- A growth mindset and motivation to progress toward an Admissions Advisor role.
