Job Description: Data - Associate

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates looking to build a career in data analysis and business operations. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and logical reasoning skills, proficiency in commonly used computer applications, and the ability to quickly understand and adapt to business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review processing results from the data engine and coordinate follow-up on flagged exceptions or items requiring additional information.
  • Analyse and interpret basic charts, reports, and dashboards.
  • Monitor, track, and maintain data records in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support routine reporting and operational activities.
  • Identify and escalate data discrepancies or issues as appropriate.
  • Learn and apply business processes, tools, and best practices effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet operational and reporting objectives.
  • Own assigned exceptions from identification through closure, maintaining clear status, aging, ownership, supporting evidence, communications, and resolution notes. 
  • Communicate data quality issues clearly and professionally to clients and their partners, specifying the affected dataset, validation result, required correction, and expected next action. 
  • Follow up on outstanding exceptions and late submissions within established service expectations, escalating risks that may affect reporting deadlines, downstream systems, or client deliverables. 
  • Build effective working relationships with internal delivery, product, engineering, accounting, lease administration, and application support teams. 
  • Participate in status calls and exception-resolution discussions; provide concise updates on submission status, open items, dependencies, risks, and next steps. 
  • Learn client-specific processes, systems, data structures, and commercial real estate terminology and apply that knowledge consistently. 
  • Contribute to process documentation, knowledge transfer, cross-training, testing, and implementation of workflow or automation improvements. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, data analytics, information systems, or a related discipline. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Software Proficiency: Basic familiarity with commonly used computer software and Microsoft Office applications, including:
  • Microsoft Excel Data sorting, basic formulas, and spreadsheet management.
  • Microsoft Word: Document creation and formatting.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint: Preparation of basic presentations and visual content.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to understand business workflows, operational procedures, and data relationships.
  • Data Literacy: Ability to interpret and analyse basic data visualizations, including graphs, charts, and dashboards, and derive meaningful insights from them.
  • Foundational understanding of financial statements like trial balances, budgets, etc.,
  • Communication and Professional Skills:
  • Willingness to learn new processes, tools, and internal systems quickly.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in assigned tasks.
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and commitment to accuracy, deadlines, and documented procedures.
