Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Associate (0–1 PQE) to join our growing litigation practice. This role is ideal for a newly qualified lawyer or a lawyer with up to one year of post-qualification experience who is keen to develop strong advocacy, drafting, and litigation skills.

The successful candidate will be exposed to a broad range of contentious matters, including personal injury, property damage, civil litigation, criminal law, and family law matters, and will work closely with senior lawyers on both advisory and litigation work.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the management and conduct of litigation matters from inception to resolution;
• Draft pleadings, affidavits, submissions, letters of demand, legal opinions, and other legal documents;
• Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries, legal memoranda, and written advice;
• Attend Court hearings, mediations, Case Conferences, Pre-Trial Conferences, and other legal proceedings;
• Assist in trial preparation, including reviewing evidence, preparing bundles, and coordinating witnesses;
• Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, insurers, government agencies, experts, and other stakeholders;
• Advise clients on legal issues and case strategy under appropriate supervision;
• Monitor Court timelines and ensure compliance with procedural requirements and deadlines;
• Participate in settlement negotiations and dispute resolution processes;
• Maintain accurate records and ensure the proper management of case files.

Requirements

• Qualified to practise law in Singapore;
• 0–1 year PQE;
• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills;
• Good advocacy and communication abilities;
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively under pressure;
• Meticulous, organised, and proactive;
• Strong sense of professionalism, responsibility, and client care;
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
