Job Description

The Associate assists FCA staff with necessary duties assigned by the supervisor in order to aid in the successful camp ministry or campus ministry programs and/or administrative support. An Associate is a temporary, part time hourly position, ineligible for FCA benefits and 401K contributions. Associates can be FCA staff for up to 1 year.

MINISTERIAL DUTIES

These responsibilities are critical to the FCA mission and this position plays a vital role in our ministry. FCA expects all functions and responsibilities outlined below to be carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God as a form of worship.

  • Agree with, and abide by, FCA's Christian Community Statement.
  • Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
  • Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
  • Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.

Qualifications

The Part-Time Social Media Manager will help expand FCA’s ministry impact by creating, curating, and sharing engaging digital content that tells the story of what God is doing through FCA across our campuses, leagues, and community partnerships. This role blends creativity, strategy, and ministry-minded storytelling to strengthen engagement with students, coaches, donors, and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Develop engaging photo, video, and written content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, etc.). Capture stories and testimonies from coaches, athletes, and events. Maintain FCA’s visual and messaging consistency in line with national branding.

• Strategy & Scheduling: Plan and schedule weekly content using social media management tools. Align posts with ministry seasons, events, and campaigns. Analyze engagement metrics to guideimprovement.

• Community Engagement: Interact with followers, respond to messages, and engage with local

coaches, athletes, and partner organizations online. Collaborate with staff to promote events,

initiatives, and opportunities for involvement.

• Partnership Development: Highlight sponsor partnerships and community supporters through

digital storytelling. Assist with creative content for donor engagement and recognition.

Qualifications

• Strong alignment with FCA’s mission, vision, and values.

• Experience managing social media platforms for an organization, brand, or ministry.

• Proficiency in photo/video editing tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite).

• Excellent writing, storytelling, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.

• Creativity and a heart for ministry through digital platforms.

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

• Familiarity with sports ministry or athletics culture.

• Experience in short-form video storytelling (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts).

• Photography/videography experience.

• Basic understanding of social media analytics and trends.
