Quality Control Associate III.

This position reports into Quality Control / Lab Supervisor or Manager and is based at São José dos Campos, SP - Brazil.

What will you do

The Quality Control Associate III, Quality Control, is responsible to deal with subjects related to Quality Control Process. This include management of CAPA, Deviation, Good Laboratory Practices. This professional shall have a deep technical knowledge to attend internal / external and regulatory audits and lead laboratory investigations as well. This professional must demonstrate a sense of urgency to meet deadlines, good interpersonal relationships when interacting with partners, co-workers and subordinates, in addition to demonstrating good skills in people management and knowledge of quality tools and laboratory metrics.

Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring that products, materials, or processes meet defined quality standards before they reach the customer, including:

1. Inspect Products and Materials

· Perform visual and dimensional inspections.

· Verify compliance with specifications, drawings, and standards.

· Identify defects, nonconformities, or deviations.

1. Conduct Testing and Measurements

· Use measurement tools and testing equipment.

· Review test results and validate product performance.

· Ensure calibration of inspection instruments.

1. Monitor Manufacturing Processes

· Check that production processes follow approved procedures.

· Verify operators comply with work instructions.

· Identify process variations that could impact quality.

1. Analyze Quality Data

· Collect and analyze inspection and test data.

· Track quality metrics such as defect rates, scrap, and rework.

· Use statistical techniques ( capability analysis, Pareto charts, etc.).

1. Manage Nonconformities

· Document quality issues.

· Segregate and control nonconforming products.

· Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

1. Support Continuous Improvement

· Participate in problem-solving activities.

· Recommend process improvements to reduce defects.

· Contribute to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.

1. Ensure Compliance

· Verify adherence to customer requirements.

· Support compliance with standards in industry-specific regulations.

· Assist during internal and external audits.

1. Documentation and Reporting

· Prepare inspection reports and quality records.

· Maintain traceability documentation.

· Communicate quality performance to management and production teams.

What we are looking for

·Required Qualifications

• Bachelor´s degree in pharmacy, chemistry, chemistry engineer, biology or related areas.
• Intermediate English
• People management experience
• At least 5 – 6 years of experience in quality control lab or quality assurance
• Quality processes and tools knowledge as KPIs, LEAN, nonconformance, change control and laboratory investigations.

Desired Qualifications

• SAP and LIMS experience
• Spanish / English
