Job Description

Ensure the rights of Assisted Living residents by joining Springwell as an Ombudsman Program Manager.
The Compensation for this role is $65,000.

Ombudsman is a Swedish word meaning “representative of the people”. As an Assisted Living Residence (ALR) Ombudsman Program Manager, you work to d evelop, administer, and oversee the Regional ALR Ombudsman services and promote its philosophy of advocating and maintaining assisted living residents' rights. The ALR Ombudsman Program Manager works closely with the Executive Office of Health and Human Services State Ombudsman Unit to ensure that requirements are fulfilled as outlined in the federal Older Americans Act, statewide long-term care Ombudsman regulations and policies, and Host agency designation agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required, with a degree in social work or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience working with the older adults and/or the disability population preferred.
  • Experience in supervisory role or demonstrated leadership experience preferred.
  • A positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and collaborative work style.
  • Knowledge of computer software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • A reliable vehicle, current driver's license and safe driving record required.
