The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) in conjunction with IU Health Medical Group (IUHMG), is seeking an academic pathologist trained in Transfusion Medicine to join its expanding faculty.
The individual selected will provide expert diagnostic and consultative services to Indiana University Health (IU Health) which includes Methodist Hospital, Indiana University Hospital, Riley Hospital for Children, IU Health West, IU Health North, IU Health Arnett, and a number of smaller hospitals. Board certification in CP or AP/CP, as well as board certification or eligibility in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine are required. The academic rank is determined by qualifications and level of experience.
· Provide transfusion medicine and apheresis service
· Participate in coagulation consultation service
· Actively participate in educational activities including ACGME-accredited trainees

· 150,000-square foot dedicated central laboratory building in downtown Indianapolis
· New 900-bed IUH Downtown Hospital opening in 2027

· IUHPL serves as the centralized anatomic and clinical pathology testing facility for numerous IU Health hospitals and affiliated clinics performing 19 million diagnostic tests annually.

Basic Qualifications
Doctorate or Terminal degree is required. The applicant must be certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology and/or Clinical Pathology and be board-certified or eligible in Transfusion Medicine. Applicants must be qualified for licensure in the state of Indiana.
