
This position is responsible for teaching two courses per semester. two in the Fall and two in the Spring. You will be provided with the opportunity to contribute to the development of the BFA and MFA curriculum, complementing and expanding the breadth of contemporary relevance that is a priority for the program's goals. We are seeking candidates with the potential for exceptional research and demonstrate excellence in teaching, who will actively contribute to the diversity of viewpoints, cultural backgrounds, experiences, knowledgebase, activities, and practices in OSUGD.
Required Qualifications
MFA, MDes or PhD in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Visual Communication Design, or a related field from a regionally accredited university by 8/15/2024.
Expertise in design software, platforms as well as print and/or production processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Have expertise and professional industry experience in one of more of the following: Motion Graphics, 2D and/or 3D Animation, Video editing/compositing/VFX, Illustration, and practical animation, Interaction Design, UX/UI, Web design, App Design, or other related subjects sch as human-centered design, virtual/augmented reality, processing/generative design or similar specializations, product design, social media, advertising, typography, editorial & publishing illustration.
Teaching experience/graduate teaching experiance.
Professional work experiance in the design industry.
Active design practice and creative research agenda
