Job Description

The College of Technological Innovation at Zayed University seeks qualified candidates for multiple full-time, multi-year faculty positions beginning in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027. These positions are for the ranks of assistant and associate professor in the following areas: Intelligent Systems, Intelligent Data-driven Systems, Autonomous Systems, Drones and Robotics Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber-Physical Systems, Networks of Things, and other related fields.

The College of Technological Innovation (CTI) seeks to produce graduates recognized by business, government, and educational institutions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Gulf Region, and the rest of the world. It also seeks to develop a strong applied research capacity in emerging technologies to meet the ICT needs of the UAE and the Gulf region. The CTI academic programs are practical, competency-based, and designed to prepare students for successful careers as Information Technology professionals.

At the undergraduate level, CTI offers three bachelor’s degrees: Information Systems, Technology Management and Information Technology, and Intelligent Systems Engineering. At the graduate level, CTI offers two Master’s degrees: Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Master of Science in Digital Transformation and Innovation. Currently, CTI has 60 full-time faculty and 1300 students (male and female) seeking majors in the College on its Abu Dhabi and Dubai campuses.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Robotics, or a closely related discipline specializing in one of the abovementioned areas. The PhD must be from an internationally accredited university, and is, or can be, recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education.
• The candidate should demonstrate an excellent research record in intelligent systems, with the potential to publish in leading academic journals.
• A demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, student mentorship, and service.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
• Recent Ph.D. graduates may be considered if they demonstrate a potential for excellence in teaching and research.
