Job Description

The Information Systems and Technology Management (ISTM) Department at Zayed University invites applications from qualified candidates for full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, beginning Spring 2027 or Fall 2027. Preference will be given to candidates at the Assistant Professor rank.

The Department is particularly interested in candidates with strong teaching and research expertise in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics/Data Science, Applied Artificial Intelligence, Databases, and related areas. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute actively to the Department’s undergraduate and graduate programs, with a primary teaching focus on Business Intelligence, data analytics, and Artificial Intelligence-related courses.

The College of Technological Innovation (CTI) seeks to produce graduates recognized by business, government, and educational institutions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Gulf Region, and the rest of the world. It also seeks to develop a strong applied research capacity in emerging technologies directed towards meeting the ICT needs of the UAE and Gulf region. The CTI academic programs are practical, competency-based, and designed to prepare students for successful careers as Information Technology professionals.

At the undergraduate level, CTI offers three bachelor’s degrees: Information Systems, Technology Management and Information Technology, and Intelligent Systems Engineering. At the graduate level, CTI offers two Master’s degrees: Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Master of Science in Digital Transformation and Innovation. Currently, CTI has 79+ full-time faculty members and 2,700+ students pursuing majors in the College across its Abu Dhabi and Dubai campuses.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a Ph.D. from an internationally accredited university in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline.

Candidates should demonstrate appropriate teaching and research expertise in one or more of the areas identified in the Position Description above, along with an established excellent research record, potential to publish in leading academic journals, and a commitment to effective, high-quality teaching and service.
