Job Summary

The Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences in the College of Engineering of the University of Michigan, an international leader in the field of nuclear engineering and radiological sciences, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. All academic ranks (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) will be considered, commensurate with experience. The department will consider all qualified applicants across the fields of nuclear engineering, including fission and radiation transport, radiation measurements, materials, plasma/fusion science, and policy. However, priority will be placed on expertise in reactor thermal hydraulics, radiation detection, or nuclear materials and fuel cycles.

Applicants are expected to have demonstrated outstanding research and scholarship in their fields. In addition to conducting research, faculty members are expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentor students, and supervise student research.
