The Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach supports the Head Coach by upholding the program established by the Head Coach, which includes, but is not limited to: creating, planning, organizing, motivating, communicating, and controlling aspects related to recruiting, practices, competitions, student-athletes, volunteer coaches, and related booster clubs. The Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach is expected to conduct themselves in a manner representative of the University, the Department, and the sport, both on and off the field of competition. The Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach is expected to be knowledgeable about and comply with NCAA regulatory policies governing their sport, as well as NCAA and conference policies governing recruiting, eligibility, ethical standards, playing seasons, and extra benefits. The Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Preferred:
NCAA Division I experience.
Demonstrated experience developing and allocating a budget.
Demonstrated experience fundraising towards the achievement of program goals.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Software including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Ability to assist with budgeting, scheduling, meal planning, coaching, recruiting, scouting, and purchasing and caring for equipment.
Ability to implement policies and guidelines for all Men’s Tennis personnel and student-athletes.
Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
Demonstrated problem solving, strong leadership, and team-building skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work a highly variable schedule including nights and weekends.
Strong integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference and University rules.
Possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
