
Intercollegiate Athletics
Reports to the Head Softball Coach and Director of Athletics. Assist the Head Softball Coach with various aspects of the varsity softball program; i.e., coaching, recruiting, academics, and game/practice management and fundraising. The assistant softball coach will adhere to RMAC rules, regulations, and NCAA Division II bylaws. In addition, the assistant softball coach willrepresent MSU Denver in a positive manner and continue to uphold the program’s philosophies and the athletic department’s core values.
Specific Responsibilities:
Assist Head Coach in coaching team (Practice planning, individual workouts, game strategy, scouting reports,etc…)
Assistin developing and implementing training and game plans.
Secondary Academic Coordinatorfor the softball teamincluding study hall monitoring, class attendance, class registration, grade monitoring, and progress towards graduation.
Assist Head coach with recruiting (i.e.tournaments, showcases,gamesand camps) scheduling, organizing unofficial/official visits, tryoutsetc…
Organize and inventory of softball equipment and uniforms
Assistin game day preparationsincluding bat list preparation and bat testing
Assistin scouting and video analysis.
Assistwith organization and implementation of fundraising opportunities, (which include, but are not limited to facility rentals, Rockies 50/50 raffle, Red & Blue Fund,etc…)
Lead organizer of camps and clinics (Nike Youth Camp, Prospect Camps, etc.)
Community service coordinator andmonitorcommunity service hoursthroughHelperHelper
Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or Director of Athletics
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Previousplaying and/or coaching athigh levelcompetitive softball
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of collegiate coaching

Salary for Announcement
Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
The anticipated hiring range is $ 41,626 - $ 44,075
This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
