About the Role

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative Assistant Site Merchandiser to support online business initiatives and visual merchandising strategies for our Furniture & Textiles businesses in Pottery Barn Kids brand. This role supports the day-to-day execution required to increase online sales, improve conversion, and maintain an accurate, intuitive customer experience.

The Assistant Site Merchandiser is responsible for site promotion setup and maintenance, product ranking support, user testing, ad hoc visual merchandising updates, analytic support and seasonal launch file maintenance. This role partners with the Manager and Associate Site Merchandiser to ensure site experiences are accurate, timely, and aligned to business priorities.

This role has no direct reports and performs assigned functional tasks with guidance, review, and support from more senior site merchandising team members.

Key Responsibilities

Site Merchandising Support

  • Support the execution of online business initiatives and visual merchandising strategies as directed by the Manager or Associate Site Merchandiser.
  • Assist with new product launches, category updates, product ranking, ad hoc visual merchandising, and merchandising maintenance across the site.
  • Support content, product, and asset accuracy to help deliver easy, inspiring product discovery for customers.

Promotions, UAT & Site Quality

  • User-test faceted navigation, product data, links, category pages, search paths, promotional experiences, and site presentation for consistency and accuracy.
  • Participate in weekly site testing to ensure correct product presentation, promotion accuracy, and product data integrity.
  • Document issues, raise concerns, and follow through on fixes with the Manager, Associate Site Merchandiser, and cross-functional partners.

Data, Reporting & Optimization Support

  • Partner with the Manager or Associate Site Merchandiser to understand key site metrics related to user behavior, product selling, customer profiles, search, shop path, and merchandising data.
  • Support routine reporting, business recaps, and optimization tracking by gathering inputs, validating data, and maintaining clean execution files.
  • Help identify basic site experience issues or opportunities through testing, customer path review, and performance observations.
  • Learn and apply site merchandising systems, tools, and processes to resolve routine executional problems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build strong working relationships with Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, Creative, Operations, and other partners involved in site execution.
  • Respond to business requests in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Support meeting follow-ups, launch checklists, promotional validation, and executional coordination across assigned categories.
  • Show initiative by raising issues, ideas, and concerns to more senior team members.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of eCommerce experience required.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills required; working knowledge of PowerPoint preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Experience using web content management systems preferred.
  • Experience with web reporting tools such as Adobe Analytics/SiteCatalyst helpful.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete routine tasks accurately and on deadline.
  • Interest in site merchandising, online visual merchandising, digital customer experience, and product discovery.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $29-$33/hr. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
