The Assistant Warehouse/Logistics Manager is responsible for assisting in the overall operation of the warehouse pertaining to receiving, stocking and delivery of merchandise.

Position’s Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee assigned area of responsibility in FSI-warehouse, Inbound/Outbound.

  • Effectively develop, train and coach employees in meeting the department/company standards and safety & security compliance in the proper use of equipment.

  • Assist and coordinate the department schedule with the manager to maximize the most efficient use of time, labor, and resources. Monitor employee breaks and lunch schedules.

  • Assign duties to crew members; direct and monitor their activities/productivities to ensure they are efficiently carried out.

  • Ensure trucks are loaded according to scheduled routes.

  • Manage route planning, driver scheduling, and truck maintenance.

  • Handle employee questions, problems and recommendations that relate to their jobs.

  • Take corrective action to change job-related behavior/performance; discipline as required.

  • Keep warehouse clean and free of obstructions.

  • Other Duties as assigned.

Starting at $26.24/hr., Depending on Experience.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a Minimum of a High school diploma or its equivalent plus 4-5 years of experience in area of specialization.
  • Prior supervisory, leadership or management experience required.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in warehousing and distribution of food and food-related products required.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a valid and clean driver’s license; Class B license is a plus.
  • Maintain alcohol-free and drug-free status.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Flexible schedule, ability to multi-task and prioritize.
