YOUR ROLE

We are looking for an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor Outbound for our Warehouse in Zaandam. In this role, you’ll coordinate a team of about 8-10 warehouse operators. You ensure efficient staffing and keep the workspace organized and clean. Applying LEAN principles, you’ll monitor team productivity, guide employees in their daily work and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. You’re proactive about addressing issues and provide input on planning and assessments. When the supervisor is absent, you step in to take over their responsibilities.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

As an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor Outbound, you’ll manage a team of 8-10 people daily and collaborate with the other two assistants and your supervisor. Your location is Zaandam, where we serve various industrial customers, with a focus on spare parts business. You’ll be responsible for the outbound department and have the following tasks:

• Organizing daily tasks using the WMS system and tracking board;
• Leading, coaching, and supporting your team active on the work floor;
• Ensuring safe handling and compliance for dangerous goods (DG);
• Solving operational and system-related issues;
• Maintaining and enforcing 5S standards;
• Driving Lean improvements (Kaizens and improvement projects);
• Leading daily kick-off meetings and ensuring clear communication;
• Executing and monitoring daily planning and performance;
• Making independent decisions to keep operations running smoothly.

The standard working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00, with a weekend shift (on call) planned once per two months. During peak times (usually at the end of each quarter or an extra Saturday), flexibility is essential as overtime may be needed.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You are someone with a natural leadership ability. You have the focus on quality, and you can easily familiarize yourself with processes and working methods. In addition, you come up with initiatives that we can use for improvements

You also bring the following knowledge and experience with you:

• MBO-level working and thinking skills;
• Experience of managing teams in logistics;
• Strong interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team;
• Analytical skills, with comfort working in Excel;
• Proactive attitude and ready to take initiative about the current process;
• Good English skills, spoken and written.

• A salary between €2.720,- and € 3.521,-depending on your work experience and level of education;
