About the role:

The Assistant Waiter supports the service team in delivering a seamless and refined dining experience. This role ensures tables are properly set, service areas are well-prepared, and guest needs are met promptly, contributing to the high standards of excellence expected in a luxury environment.

Requirements

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist in describing and presenting menu items, including food and beverages, to guests in an engaging and knowledgeable manner.
• Take and serve food and beverage orders promptly and accurately.
• Provide attentive, courteous service to ensure guests’ needs are met throughout their dining experience.
• Set and clean tables, ensuring they meet established restaurant standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations.
• Assist in restocking supplies such as napkins, utensils, glassware, and condiments.
• Support the front-of-house team to maintain smooth and efficient service operations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of orders.
• Adhere to all safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining environment for guests.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel or high-end restaurant.
• Degree in Hospitality or Tourism is considered an asset.
• Experience using MICROS or other POS systems is an advantage.
• Excellent command of the English language; additional languages considered an asset.
