Job Description

Reporting to the Department Head for Custody & Investment Operations Centre, this person will have the responsibility to provide daily operational support and be involved in new product implementations and process automation initiatives in the Corporate Action environment.

Responsibilities

  • Understand business operations
  • Identify business requirement and challenges through data analysis.
  • Improve corporate action process through GenAI.
  • Streamline corporate action processes through system enhancements to achieve optimum productivity and process efficiency using Marco, VBA program.
  • Analyze and interpret corporate action data, including event terms and conditions and payment process.
  • Adhere to processing KPIs, Service Levels and compliant with internal controls and various legislation, regulations and bank policies
  • Have an in-depth understanding of product parameters, policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements on domestic and global market operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks associated with corporate actions processing.
  • Be involved in initiatives and projects for enhancement of process / business requirement
  • Carry out management reporting and any other assignments as given by Department Head and Division Management

Requirements

  • At least 8 to 10 years in a banking operations environment, preferably in securities operations.
  • Experience in driving initiatives and change implementations
  • Equipped with knowledge/materials to ensure competency in job
  • Good knowledge of MAS and SGX processing
  • Good communication and written skills.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of corporate actions for local and foreign markets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of SQL and data analysis techniques
  • Expertise in tax matters would be advantageous
  • Hardworking and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to grasp issues and provide solutions.
  • Confidence in handling customers.
  • Team player
