Assistant Village Manager - Aged Care

We are searching for our next Assistant Village Manger

Your new role will be:

Working closely and collaboratively with the Village Manager, you will support the team in the management of all new residents, current residents and relevant stakeholders. You will deliver quality service creating a supportive and caring environment for our community. This role will support 2 villages in close proximity – the beautiful Bimbimbie Park (Merimbula) and Sanananda Village (Tura Beach).

This is a permanent position, 30 hours per week

Ideally you will be able to work 4 days a week with an occasional Saturday morning.


*Flexibility with weekly hours depending on the candidate’s availability

This role role may involve travel across NSW.

Aged care experience desirable but not necessary; we are looking for someone with the right attitude and personality!

About you:

  • Previous relevant experience in a customer-focused role

  • Excellent people and communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to interact with residents with respect and empathy.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and work under minimal supervision

  • Experience building positive relationships with key stakeholders, clients, colleagues and service providers

  • Resilience, strong commercial acumen and highly organised

  • A good understanding of the Retirement Villages Act or willingness to learn.

  • You can confidently manage administrative responsibilities.

  • You possess a proficiency in Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with the ability to quickly learn other systems.

  • You are self-starter, capable of working independently, thinking creatively, and demonstrating soft sales and customer service skills.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
