
Responsibilities
Own and oversee the Bank's quality control function across all Digital Banking customer journeys, products, platforms, and technology releases.
Be accountable for end-to-end QC coverage across the full Digital Banking customer journey, including onboarding, authentication, servicing, payments, transfers, cards, lending, deposits, notifications, self-service, and post-release customer experience.
Control release quality across Digital Banking products by ensuring sufficient test coverage, controlled test execution, defect resolution, regression readiness, production verification, and customer journey consistency.
Define and maintain QC standards, test planning practices, test execution controls, defect management practices, test evidence requirements, and release quality gate criteria for Digital Banking products and related platforms.
Establish and track QC metrics used to measure test execution progress, test coverage, defect aging, defect leakage, regression stability, release readiness, and production quality outcomes.
Lead QC assessment and provide release sign-off or go/no-go recommendations for major Digital Banking releases, customer journey changes, platform upgrades, and production deployments.
Ensure testing risks, open defects, escaped defects, test environment issues, test data gaps, and release blockers are identified, communicated, tracked, and controlled throughout delivery.
Manage Senior QC, QC, automation, performance testing, and outsourced testing teams, including capability development, vendor performance, resource quality, and service outcomes.
Plan QC capacity and support resource forecasting across Digital Banking products, customer journeys, projects, regulatory changes, BAU enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
Define the roadmap and priorities for QC capabilities, including test automation, performance testing, regression coverage, test data readiness, defect analytics, and release quality reporting.
Define and maintain automation and performance testing approaches that improve test coverage, execution efficiency, regression reliability, and release confidence for Digital Banking products.
Monitor production defects and release-related incidents, support root cause analysis, and translate findings into improved test coverage, regression packs, defect controls, and release gates.
Provide QC evidence, defect records, test execution status, release sign-off inputs, and production validation records to support audit, compliance, operational risk, and regulatory reviews.
Identify opportunities to improve QC outcomes through better test design, automation coverage, regression optimization, defect analytics, tooling, and AI-assisted testing where appropriate.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant professional certifications in software testing, test management, Agile delivery, or banking technology are preferred.
15+ years of experience in software testing, quality control, test management, or release quality control, with a strong track record in complex enterprise technology environments.
10+ years of experience leading QC teams, Senior QC specialists, test leads, automation testers, performance testers, or outsourced testing teams.
Proven experience owning QC strategy and execution across Digital Banking customer journeys and products, including mobile banking, internet banking, onboarding, payments, transfers, cards, lending, deposits, servicing, and customer communications.
Strong experience managing end-to-end QC delivery across test planning, functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance support, automation testing, performance testing, security-related validation, production verification, and post-release quality monitoring.
Experience managing both internal and outsourced QC organizations, including Senior QC leads, vendor testing teams, managed testing services, resource planning, capability development, execution control, and service performance tracking.
Experience defining QC metrics, test execution dashboards, defect reporting, defect governance, test coverage models, risk-based testing approaches, test evidence standards, and release quality gate criteria at product and portfolio level.
Experience managing automation testing programs, performance testing capabilities, test data readiness, test environment coordination, regression suites, and continuous testing practices in Agile, DevOps, or hybrid delivery models.
Deep understanding of banking technology, Digital Banking architecture, API and integration testing, core banking touchpoints, customer journey validation, operational readiness, release management, production verification, and quality risk control.
Demonstrated ability to challenge project, product, technology, and vendor teams on quality risks, release readiness, defect trends, customer impact, and production stability.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate quality status, risks, recommendations, and decisions to senior technology, product, operations, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders.
Experience in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or other highly regulated environments, with strong awareness of audit evidence, compliance validation, operational risk, cyber risk, and regulatory expectations related to testing and release control.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including the ability to lead senior discussions, present QC insights, explain release risks, influence decisions, and coach teams toward stronger testing discipline.
