We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Vice President to drive strategic initiatives aimed at upgrading and modernizing derivatives market infrastructure and systems.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the business requirements and ensure alignment with strategic business goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs
  • Evaluate current business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement to achieve enhanced operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Validate technical solutions to ensure the business requirements are met and align with best practices
  • Analyze data and metrics to inform decision-making, providing insights into trends and potential impacts of system changes
  • Facilitate smooth transition to new processes, including training and support for end-users
  • Coordinate testing activities to ensure quality standards and address any issues that arise
  • Provide updates on project status, risks, and outcomes with key stakeholders in a transparent and effective manner

Requirements:

  • University Degree, preferably in business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in a well-established financial organization
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Associate
  • Knowledge of DCASS or derivatives market in Hong Kong / overseas are preferred
  • Experience in derivatives clearing or clearing house related functions is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of the derivatives markets and products, including equities, fixed income, rates and currencies
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge in various project management tools eg. Confluence, JIRA, etc.
