The Assistant Vice President of Clinical Quality assists the Vice President of Clinical quality in the development and implementation of organization-wide quality outcomes measurement, risk management systems and education and training of nursing staff. The Assistant Vice President of Clinical quality is responsible for assisting in the analysis and improvement of nursing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and assistance to locations on various clinically-related projects
  • Participates in the development of clinical policies and procedures
  • Assists locations with regulatory compliance and participates/coordinates various survey and audits such as RAC, ADR and surveys (compliant, state and federal)
  • Assists in the development, implementation and analysis of quality outcome measurements systems
  • Provides orientation and development of clinical leadership team members
  • Assists and supports locations in areas related to risk management and clinical procedures
  • Ongoing research and best practices based education for clinical leadership team as well as investigates new innovations
  • Champions the clinical phase of the EMR through maintaining a strong knowledge base of the system
  • Consistently develops and implements timely and appropriate Quality Improvement Plans (QIP)
  • Assist in QAPI implementation
  • Liaison with key vendors and formulary approval
  • Participates in Community Outreach to include health fairs and other clinical/marketing efforts as needed
  • Collaborates with hospitals and physicians regarding best practices and education
  • Stays up-to-date on current trends affecting the care and delivery of services to older adults

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; master’s degree preferred
  • Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse; Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • Experience: At least five years clinical nursing experience in a supervisory capacity in a health care setting working with older adults; detail oriented; must have excellent literacy, written communication, listening skills and interpersonal abilities; must be able to competently use required tools and equipment; strong evidence of leadership skills, time management, conflict resolution, assertive, approachable and open-minded; demonstrates excellent ability to build relationships with all levels of internal and external customers
