Job Summary:

Role Overview

The Corporate Responsibility & Foundation team develops and delivers HKEX's corporate responsibility strategy, philanthropic initiatives, employee engagement programmes and community partnerships. The team also manages the governance and operations of HKEX Foundation and supports initiatives that create positive and sustainable impact for the community.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Responsibility & Foundation, the Assistant Vice President will play a key role in supporting HKEX Foundation's operations ranging from developing and managing community programmes and partnerships, driving employee engagement activities, expanding corporate responsibility and sustainability-related initiatives to the identification of opportunities in strengthening both internal and external governance with strategic buildout of HKEX’s overall sustainability partnerships.

Job Duties:

Key Responsibilities

HKEX Foundation & Community Investment

  • Facilitation of the HKEX Foundation's flagship Care for Caregivers Programme, execution including programme planning, partnership management, impact measurement, stakeholder engagement and communications.
  • Maintenance of strong governance and administration of day-to-day operations of HKEX Foundation including the monitoring of programme performance, budgets, risks and delivery timelines with necessary preparation of Board and committee materials, management reports, presentations and programme updates.
  • Management of charitable programmes, grants and strategic partnerships, including performing due diligence, monitoring, reporting and impact assessment.
  • Development, maintenance and evaluation of relationships with NGOs, social enterprises, government bodies and other community stakeholders.
  • Identification of both operational effectiveness and efficiency opportunities for the overall HKEX Foundation operations and specifically on the Care for Caregivers Programme with end-to-end ability to implement proposed changes.

Corporate Responsibility

  • Facilitation of the development and implementation of HKEX's corporate responsibility strategy and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Development of strong partnership with internal business divisions and external stakeholders in developing collaborative initiatives that support sustainable market development and community value creation purposes.
  • Performance of market research and analysis on emerging sustainability, corporate responsibility, stakeholder engagement and social investment emerging trends to identify opportunities for strategic planning and implementation.
  • Facilitation of strategic communications around sustainability initiatives with thought leadership in strengthening both internal and external stakeholder engagement
  • Monitoring and development of performance metrics and executive reporting with data-driven insights to assess programme effectiveness and support decision making.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business, Social Sciences, Sustainability, Public Policy, Communications or other relevant disciplines.
  • Approximately 6-8 years of relevant experience in corporate responsibility, sustainability, philanthropy, community investment, foundations, or related fields.
  • Solid experience in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships and managing stakeholders (both internal and external) and different priorities simultaneously with strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess opportunities, balance stakeholder interests and support enterprise-wide objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to evaluate information from multiple sources, identify key issues and formulate practical recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese, with the ability to present complex information clearly, confidently and concisely.
  • Self-motivated team player with high integrity and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes, strong sense of accountability, sound judgement and awareness of governance, compliance and risk management considerations.
  • Candidate with less experience may be considered for the position of Associate.
