We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President Corporate Actions

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, inspire and develop a team to deliver accurate, high-quality processing of Corporate Actions/Events across securities and geographies
  • Maintain and continuously improve a risk-aware, control-focused operating environment.
  • Ensure performance against defined Key Performance Indicators and Key Rey Indicator in line with Performance Level Agreements, driving year-on-year improvement, while managing operational contingency requirements by keeping plans current to reflect strategic changes, migration activity and growth plans in partnership with the core Business Continutiy Plan team.
  • Collaborate effectively and communicate persuasively, promoting teamwork, diversity and knowledge-sharing across HSBC and with external partners.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Group business and operational stakeholders to deliver consistently high service standards, while ensuring training and development plans are created and implemented for all staff.
  • Set clear objectives and apply effective people-management practices to build engagement, capability and performance across the Global Service Centre.
  • Interpret complex information and make timely, high-quality decisions, balancing growth, cost discipline and risk management. Monitor and analyse Key Performance Indicators and Key Rey Indicator to ensure effective operational support
  • Lead recruitment, retention and development planning for the team while maintaining cost centre accountability by monitoring spend against budget and securing approvals through well-documented business cases where required
  • Support implementation of Group compliance policy locally, foster a strong compliance culture, and ensure timely closure of audit and regulatory actions while maintaining HSBC internal control standards and operational risk awareness
  • Lead and develop a motivated, highly skilled team with a strong client-service mindset that consistently delivers outstanding service, meets business objectives, and strives to exceed expectations across service delivery.

To be successful you will:

  • 8–15 years’ experience in a middle management role, including 3–5 years’ direct experience managing Asset Servicing or Corporate Actions/Events (must have).
  • Strong understanding of investment banking products, including
  • Equities, Fixed Income Securities & Mutual Funds (must have)
  • Mutual Funds (Good to have)
  • Hedge Funds & Private Equity (Preferred)
  • Exceptional people-management capability in a high-performance environment (highly preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage multicultural teams and stakeholders
  • Experience managing operational risk.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Experience in leading Change and Transformation initiatives. Knowledge of automation tools and AI (preferred)
