Our client is a leading international law and professional services firm, providing legal, corporate, and fiduciary solutions to global corporations, financial institutions, capital market participants, and investment fund managers. With a worldwide presence spanning the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, they advise across multiple international jurisdictions, helping clients navigate complex governance and regulatory requirements with confidence.
  We are seeking an Assistant Vice President (Company Secretary Services) to join our client’s dynamic and growing team in the Cayman Islands. This senior role will act as the primary relationship manager for a diverse portfolio of high-value clients, including hedge funds and private equity funds, while also leading on governance support and key board-level deliverables.
Please note:
This position is limited to Caymanians, RERC holders, Permanent Residency holders, and Work Permit holders.   Key Responsibilities  
  • Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of client entities.
  • Manage board, advisory, and shareholder meetings, including acting as company secretary and preparing detailed, accurate meeting minutes.
  • Create agendas, collate and distribute board packs, and liaise with relevant service providers.
  • Oversee post-meeting follow-up, including circulation of minutes and action items.
  • Handle correspondence and administrative matters on a broad range of issues from attorneys, clients, and external service providers.
  • Manage invoicing and accounts receivable for allocated clients.
  • Lead or assist with projects to document processes, implement protocols, and embed best practice.
  • Support wider service lines as needed, including flexibility to work outside of normal hours where required.

Key Requirements  
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, business, or languages (strong academic record).
  • ICSA/CGI qualification (or progress towards it) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant fund company secretarial experience in industry and/or professional practice.
  • Strong knowledge of Cayman Islands regulatory frameworks, including CIMA’s Statement of Guidance, Corporate Governance, Mutual Funds, and Private Funds.
  • Proven track record of attending, running, and coordinating board meetings, with the ability to draft accurate, detailed minutes under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and consistently deliver to a high standard.
  • Comfortable working independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
