Job Summary


In this highly visible and influential role,you will have responsibility to lead our group pricing function for ourEmployee BenefitsLife, AbsenceandDisability$4bblock of business  You will play a key role in growing profits through strategic pricing decisions, industry insights, superioranalyticsand innovative solutions.You’llleverageyour business and strategicexpertiseto drive profitable growthin a disciplined and long-term approach.  Working closely with Sales, Underwriting, and Corporate Actuarial leadership, you will develop andexecutepricing philosophy,strategyand tactical actions to achieve long term businessobjectives  In addition to Pricing, you will oversee reinsurance for our group benefit products tofacilitateand maintainappropriate levelsof risk retention. You’llalso support product development in partnership with other key stakeholder groups.

Skills and BackgroundYou’llNeed

  • Bachelor’sdegreerequired Advanced degree a plus.

  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent non-US actuarialcredential

  • Develop actuarial strategies to support profitable growthPartner with Sales and Underwriting to drive sales, customerretentionand cross sell.

  • At least 10 years of post-fellowship experience with significant leadership experience in the group benefits pricing area including Group Life, Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD), Group Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML), and Group Dental and Vision experience

  • Oversee the development of pricing strategies for LAD products to ensure competitive pricing and achieve profitability targetsEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standardsDrive risk management with Underwriting and develop reinsurance partnerships

  • Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvementProvide mentorship and coaching to team members, promotingongoingprofessional development and growth.

  • Drive actuarial innovation and best in class actuarial practices. Translate complex actuarial insights into clear, actionable operational and strategic guidance for non-technical stakeholders

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.

Salary Range:

$187,750.00 - $317,250.00
