Job Description

Responsible for developing, maintaining and effectively testing the business continuity program

  • Drive overall maturity and roadmap for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery program with measurable outcomes

  • Ensure a robust compliance posture to ISO 22301, NIST, ISO 27001 and other applicable standards
  • Lead Crisis Management in collaboration with Business and Enterprise functions

  • Demonstrate fair understanding of Technology DR set up, recovery and testing methodologies for on-prem and cloud hosted solutions
  • Effectively navigate large scale crisis situations for diverse geographies in collaboration with business and enterprise functions
  • Have a sound governance on resiliency risks and drive mitigation plans aligned to the organization’s ERM

  • Liaison with businesses to demonstrate the Organization’s resiliency capabilities during RFI/RFPs
  • Ability to drive comprehensive Business Impact Assessments, business continuity testing and exercises, awareness initiatives across businesses and enterprise functions
  • Exposure of cyber resiliency practices and controls implementation will be an added advantage

Maintain high level of stakeholder management and business engagement

  • Work and coordination with the business and enterprise functions to structure and implement emergency response plan.
  • Incumbent must be able to coordinate, perform or assist with the following Emergency Management tasks: Risk Evaluation and Control. Assist with Plan Implementation; Maintain and Update Plans.
  • Operationalize an effective Crisis Management practice for proactive monitoring, reporting and implementation of response and recovery procedures to minimize business impact
  • Monitor the effectiveness of procedures during BCP/DR exercise and testing and revises the procedures as necessary.
  • Work and coordinate with Business teams to implement Crisis Management Plans. Vertically-integrate crisis management objectives, issues and tasks within zero layer of the organization.
  • Identify Single Point of Failures (SPOF) at organizational and process level.
  • Conduct Risk Assessment, Threat analysis and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and assists all Lines of Business to determine critical business processes, identify acceptable recovery times, alternate location and establish resources required for the successful resumption of business operations in the event of a disaster.
  • Implement BCM strategies developed for processes and organization. Documents and implement mitigation plans.
  • Create BCP scenarios and test all the critical enablers as decided through Mission criticality.
  • Work with business units to understand their current environment and to advise them on alternative techniques and recovery plans.
  • Understand business functions across all lines of business to maintain flexible recovery strategies that respond to changes in technology and business structure.
  • Work with technology team and business teams to develop IT recovery (DR Plans) and business recovery plans.
  • Provide support to create cyber resilience plan
  • Conduct and ensure BCP awareness from time to time
  • Conduct drills at Organization level and document learnings.
  • Train all key and back-up personnel to a basic level of proficiency regarding their respective BCP roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide recommendations to business to enhance current recovery & continuity strategies. Understand the impact of change management to existing plans and takes action necessary to ensure recoverability.

Demonstrate BCP capabilities to potential clients and responding RFPs.

  • Strong background with a minimum of 8-10 years in business continuity management, crisis management and disaster recovery management role, and at least 12-20 years of total experience
  • Relevant experience in managing end-to-end business continuity and technology disaster recovery program at a geography/s level

  • Knowledge of widely used business continuity tools.

  • Certification from the international body- ISO22301,CBCP/CBCI/MBCI/MBCP
