Job Description

We are seeking an experienced analytical professional to shape and scale enterprise-wide data and analytics capabilities built on the Microsoft ecosystem. This role blends strategic data leadership, solution architecture, and hands-on delivery to enable trusted, real-time insights and GenAI-ready BI experiences in Microsoft eco system ( Azure Synapse, ADLS Gen2, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Platform, Databricks, Spark)

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute the data and analytics roadmap, aligning with business goals and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Drive innovation culture, embracing AI-assisted analytics and next-gen BI tools
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management, communicating progress, risks, and innovation opportunities
  • Establish best practices for data modelling, reporting standardization, and self-service analytics adoption
  • Managing team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts to deliver impactful analytical solutions.

2. Solution Architecture & Engineering

  • Architect and manage scalable, secure BI and data platforms leveraging Microsoft technologies - Azure Synapse, ADLS Gen2, Databricks, and Spark
  • Design end-to-end ETL/ELT frameworks, semantic models, and performance-optimized data layers for analytical consumption.
  • Implement robust data lineage and governance through Microsoft Purview and Fabric-native features.
  • Design and manage secure, high-performance solutions using Azure Synapse, ADLS Gen2, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric
  • Architecture Design: Creating detailed blueprints for end-to-end data platforms, including data lakes (ADLS Gen2), data warehouses (Azure Synapse Analytics), and real-time processing environments.
  • Data Strategy & Modeling: Defining data transformation roadmaps and developing complex semantic models, dimensional models, or data marts (Star/Snowflake schemas) to support reporting.
  • Pipeline Orchestration: Designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse to move data from various sources into the cloud environment.
  • BI Visualization: Overseeing the architecture of Power BI or Microsoft Fabric ecosystems, ensuring reports are high-performing, secure, and user-friendly.
  • Drive reusability and automation through parameterized pipelines, CI/CD deployment patterns, and observability dashboards
  • Establish robust data governance, lineage, and compliance frameworks

3. Business Intelligence & Data Analysis

  • Support the BI Reporting & Analytics function, enabling delivery of interactive, self-service dashboards and KPI scorecards across departments.
  • Oversee the design and rollout of Power BI, Fabric, and embedded analytics solutions to deliver insights on key business metrics (financial, operational, customer, and risk).
  • Partner with business and functional leaders to translate analytical needs into data models, visuals, and insights that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Promote data literacy and self-service adoption through training, usage analytics, and continuous feedback loops.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and AI-powered features (e.g., CoPilot in Power BI, cognitive search, and natural-language querying) to make analytics more intuitive and predictive.

4. Delivery Management

  • Handle Enterprise BI programs ensuring predictable delivery, scalability, and measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee delivery governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to best practices and client commitments
  • Supporting the Ent BI Operations and ensuring the SLA’s are met within defined timelines
  • Maintain compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory standards across all analytics solutions
  • Work closely with SI Partners and cross-functional teams to define SLAs, measure success metrics, and deliver business-aligned insights.

5. CXO & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to align analytics strategy with business priorities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, translating complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Ensure stakeholder buy-in for enterprise data initiatives and foster collaboration across functions

6. Innovation & Emerging Technology

  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in data, BI, and GenAI, particularly in Microsoft Fabric, Databricks Lakehouse, CoPilot for BI, and Agentic AI architectures
  • Champion AI-augmented BI, predictive reporting, and conversational analytics to enhance insight discovery.
  • Drive continuous modernization through internal hackathons, accelerator programs, and cross-functional innovation initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12–15 years of experience in BI, Data Engineering, and Analytics leadership roles. B.Tech specialized in IT
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, ADLS Gen2, Databricks, PySpark, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI/Power Platform
  • Experience with various data analytics tool, hands on experience is required in BI and data practices
  • Reasonable experience of working on data of corporate functions like Finance, HR, Technology
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, semantic layer design, KPI frameworks, and performance optimization for BI.
  • Experience in enterprise-level BI reporting, dashboard development, and data storytelling for executives
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with CXO-level stakeholders and influence strategy through data insights.
  • Strong program management discipline, with a focus on delivery velocity, adoption, and cost efficiency
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for exploring AI-powered analytics and emerging technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate or Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer / GenAI Engineer Associate
  • SAFe Agile, PMP, CSM, PSM preferred
  • Exposure to CoPilot for Power BI and Agentic AI for analytics is a plus
