Purpose of the Role:
To work within the equinox Lectio team and assist the underwriters and senior underwriters in providing service excellence to support our role as a Lloyds’ Coverholder and help deliver against their GWP Targets
Key Role Accountabilities:
Review and understanding the main elements and rules of the underwriting parameters for in scoping the various lines of business.
As guided by the underwriters, undertake the following activities:
Monitor receipt of submissions
Provide quotes in accordance with in-scoping rules.
Monitor and chase open quotes.
Process firm orders and confirm coverage to the client.
Ensure accurate and timely capture of data on internal systems.
Apply Lectio stamps to MRC via placing platforms.
Ensure timely filing of all correspondence.
Sending slips for processing and, where required, aggregate teams for reporting to insurers.
Where required, sending endorsements to processing, and aggregate teams for reporting to insurers.
Assist with the final document download from PPL and Whitespace.
Participate in regular team meetings to review our progress against targets.
Build good working relationships with the various broking teams.
Various ad-hoc tasks to support the end-to-end processes of the Lectio Team, as directed by the Underwriters
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years within the London Insurance Market
Preferably experience within a Coverholder team
High level proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel – PowerPoint experience can be beneficial also.
Strong, analytical, verbal and written communication skills are valuable.
Person Specification:
The role would be split between home working and the London office. As such you should have the ability to be self-motivated/disciplined but also be a team player.
Accuracy and attention to detail is critical, and an interest in data and spotting inconsistencies would be an asset.
A willingness to be involved in more in-depth work during busy periods, with a view to learning the underwriting role and progressing to that role.
You should be comfortable working with all members of the team and contacting brokers to chase any outstanding items.
