As our operations continue to grow, we are currently looking for a talented and motivated professional to join our team as: Assistant Trader – Promotion Team

Job Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and client-oriented professional to join our client-based Transaction Business team within the Global Markets Department.

The successful candidate will work closely with corporate and financial institution clients across Europe, providing foreign exchange, interest rate and treasury risk management solutions. This role offers excellent exposure to international financial markets, derivative products and cross-border client advisory in a dynamic multicultural environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • ​Support in marketing and delivering derivative solutions, including foreign exchange and interest rate products, to corporate and financial institution clients.
  • Prepare pricing and assist in the execution of FX Spot, Forward, FX Swap, Interest Rate Swap and Cross Currency Swap transactions, etc.
  • Monitor financial markets, foreign exchange rates, interest rate movements and macroeconomic developments, and provide market updates and business insights.
  • Coordinate transaction execution, client onboarding and documentation processes, including MiFID and ISDA-related documentation where applicable.
  • Work closely with Corporate Banking, Financial Institution and other internal departments, as well as all cross-border branches to support cross-selling opportunities and financial products implementation.
  • Prepare regular business statistics, trading reports, management information and performance analysis to support business management and decision-making.
  • Maintain business databases, client activity records and internal reporting tools, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Liaise with Operations, Risk Management, Compliance, Legal and other support functions to facilitate efficient business processes and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, market research and ad hoc departmental projects.
  • Perform other day-to-day operational, administrative and business support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business or related disciplines.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in Financial Markets, Sales, Trading, Treasury, Corporate Banking, Capital Markets within banks, asset management companies, investment funds or other financial institutions.
  • ​Good understanding of FX and Interest Rate products
  • Knowledge of financial markets and macroeconomics
  • Fluent English is required. Mandarin is a strong advantage.
  • Bloomberg, Reuters or other market information systems are preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISDA documentation would be an advantage.
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, or progress toward these certifications will be considered an advantage.
