Job Description

** Assistant to the Treasurer - Accounts Payable **

Salary - $60,015 - $77,309

**Salary range based upon experience, includes a complete benefit package, 260 day contract.**

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position performs all duties to assist the treasurer by the accurate, efficient, and compliant operation of the Treasurer's Office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Handles inquiries from district employees regarding a wide variety of accounts payable issues.

Works with building personnel/administration and vendors to resolve accounts payable issues.

Handles all vendor payments and assures that purchasing is in compliance with policies and regulations.

Collects/maintains/processes information for timely and accurate payment of invoices.

Maintains accounts payable files.

Processes District warrants / invoices on a minimum of weekly basis or as requested by the Treasurer. Scan invoices, obtain approval and other appropriate documentation;

performs follow up on open purchase orders with requisitioner and vendor on routine basis.

Assist employees with purchasing process procedures.

To assist as liaison for all student activity advisors.

To assist with creating requisitions for student activity and athletic accounts.

Administering of student activity funds, fundraising forms and athletic fundraising accounts.

Oversees and coordinates the business of the student activity and athletic accounts.

Balances all fundraisers of the student activity accounts.

Assists with interfacing fees in DASL with PaySchools.

Supports internal control systems for student activity and athletic accounting functions, including form development and revisions.

Prepares Student Activity and Athletics accounts budgets with advisors.

Assists advisors in gathering data and preparing fund raising records as needed.

Assists with the maintenance of records of petty cash.

Assists with district audits, as needed.

Assists in the responsibilities for internal operating reports and controls.

Maintains up to date knowledge of technology utilized by the district.

Stays current with software utilized by the Treasurer's Office.

Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information.

Carries out assignments in a professional manner and maintains a high standard of due professional care in all work performed.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Treasurer.
