Join ISS Security Services as an Assistant Terminal Operations Manager and play a critical role in ensuring secure, efficient, and customer-focused airport operations.

About The Position:

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to support aviation security operations at Brisbane Airport In this role, you’ll assist in leading daily screening, patrols, and incident response. You’ll support workforce planning, staff performance, audits, and operational reporting, while promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.

• Oversee daily security screening, landside patrols, and incident response.
• Align workforce planning with operational demand through effective rostering.
• Ensure budget adherence and contribute to business reviews and strategic planning.
• Lead investigations and contribute to union engagement, toolbox talks, and team communications.

• Supervise, coach and support security staff across shifts.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings and covering threat updates, SOP changes and daily priorities

• Perform regular spot audits, system testing, and maintain detailed compliance records.

• Analyse operational data, incidents, and trends to improve outcomes.
• Monitor absenteeism, leave trends, and workforce KPIs.
• Contribute to monthly operational performance reports.

• Maintain a professional and courteous environment for passengers and stakeholders.
• Communicate operational updates and incidents in a timely, effective manner.
• Represent ISS in stakeholder meetings and maintain positive working relationships with partners, contractors, and unions.

What we are looking for:

• Certificate II in Transport Security Protection
• Certificate II in Security Operations (including crowd control and monitoring)
• Current ASIC holder or eligibility to obtain one
• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience, preferably in aviation/security.
• Sound understanding of security protocols and aviation operational environments.
• Strong communication, organisational and planning skills.
• High personal integrity and ability to manage sensitive information and situations.
