Reporting to the Technical Services Coordinator, the Assistant Technical Services Coordinator provides
support in the organization through management of crews, assigning work schedules, performance management, management of equipment, and access to designated building(s). They also provide all required lighting, sound, and staging for events at their assigned location(s). Supervises and directs seasonal and part-time technical staff.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma.
Two to four (2-4) years of relevant experience.
OR
Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a
candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job,
AND
Possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
Four (4) years of experience in a performing arts center.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of state-of-the-art theatrical equipment and systems.
Knowledge of theater design, acoustics, and production needs.
Experience with computerized light boards and equipment, digital / analog audio consoles and outboard gear, personal computers, and stage rigging.
Experience with Audio / Video NLE software.
Experience with complicated practices and precedents.
Ability to work events and performances as scheduled including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
Ability to solve a variety of problems in situations where there are substantially diversified procedures, specialized standards, and only limited standardization; choose and produce a practical course of action within the established processes.
Travel:
Category A-Standard Local Travel:This positionrequires occasional local travel within the County. Employees may be expected to walk or drive short distances to attend meetings, trainings, or perform work at other city buildings or partner sites.
Essential Functions:
The ATSC role is typically 70% managing technical operations, 30% hands-on technical work.
Supervises and directs seasonal and part-time technical staff.
Assigns work and establishes work schedules.
Monitors employee performance and provides coaching.
Develops and implements an ongoing training program for seasonal employees on lighting and sound equipment.
Performs electronic and mechanical equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Serves in a variety of capacities as an audio engineer for major events.
Serves as the Technical Services Coordinator in their absence.
Meets with local tenants to determine event needs and assists with scheduling appropriate crew and equipment.
Interacts with the public, performers, and facility guests diplomatically and with patience, good judgment, and tact.
Provides operational communication and support.
Serves as the Technical Services Coordinator in their absence.
Edits and approves part-time staff timecards.
Provides excellent customer service to Greeley citizens, co-workers, external clients, and business partners.
Participates in product and equipment acquisition and consultation.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Work Environment:
Frequent exposure to hazards and conditions that are unpredictable and may lead to injury.
Periodic exposure to loud noises for long periods of time.
Work at heights up to 80 feet.
Occasional exposure to large amounts of electricity.
May be required to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Occasional exposure to a variety of weather conditions.
Exposure to pyrotechnic devices.
Physical Requirements:
Moderate to considerable physical effort that includes working from ladders in awkward positions.
Frequent use of light or medium weight objects (e.g., 25-50 pounds) and use of medium weight tools.
Physical agility enough to climb ladders and work in difficult-to-access locations.
Lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
