Tyrone is an open-pit copper mining complex located in Grant County, New Mexico – just 10 miles south of the historic mining community of Silver City. The copper processing facilities currently consist of a solvent extraction/electrowinning operation with an annual maximum capacity of approximately 100 million pounds of copper.

This role focuses on developing employees' skills in safety, compliance, and operational and maintenance tasks through technical training that combines standardized materials with personal expertise. Training is delivered both in classrooms and hands-on through simulation and field settings, ensuring engagement and adherence to regulatory and internal standards. Additionally, the role evaluates on-the-job performance using predefined assessments to confirm safe and effective skill application, contributing to a collaborative and capable workforce. Deliver hands-on training and simulations, proctor standardized assessments, and collaborate with supervisors to address skill gaps and escalate concerns when needed. Facilitate interactive classroom and computer-based training sessions using activities and discussions to improve retention. Maintain accurate records of attendance and assessment results in the LMS. Participate in train-the-trainer programs and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Provide input for developing competency-based learning materials and mentor instructors to support team and organizational goals.
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $33.00 - $43.00/hr. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
