Job Responsibilities:
Team Development
• Promote standardization and eliminate duplication of work in FA & Leases processing.
• Supervise team and provide guidance to solve open items and problematic invoices.
• Manage team competencies including coach, develop and train team members.
• Monitor KPI for process flow and define action plans to achieve KPI.
Fixed Asset Accounting
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and in-country statutory requirements for fixed asset maintenance and processing.
• Develop familiarity with company accounting policies and all relevant GAAP, accounting standards, and tax laws/regulations.
• Assist with the migration of fixed asset accounting tasks from local business units to the shared service center as needed.
• Record fixed asset movements in the accounting system promptly, adhering to service level agreements.
• Maintain authorized Approval for Expenditure (AFE) for all capital expenditures (CAPEX).
• Ensure all supporting documentation for fixed asset movements is complete, properly maintained, and accurately filed.
Leases Accounting
• Manage the end-to-end lease accounting process, ensuring accurate recognition, measurement, and reporting of lease transactions in compliance with IFRS 16.
• Review and maintain lease agreements, amendments, renewals, and terminations, ensuring lease data is accurately recorded within the lease accounting system.
• Prepare monthly lease accounting journals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for lease liabilities, right-of-use (ROU) assets, interest expense, and depreciation.
• Support month-end close, financial audits, and statutory reporting activities by providing lease accounting analysis, documentation, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
Month-End Close
• Ensure timely completion of US GAAP and local statutory depreciation processes in accordance with service level agreements.
• Collaborate with the Local Controller to ensure timely closure of fixed assets accounts, supporting the financial close process.
• Prepare month-end journals in accordance with company accounting policies, ensuring compliance with local and US accounting standards and principles.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and complete updates in the monthly Hyperion roll forward data form to support corporate monthly analysis.
Financial Reporting – Internal & External
• Attain familiarity with Company accounting policies and all applicable GAAP / accounting standards / tax laws and regulations.
• Attain familiarity with available reports from Radius, SAP, Hyperion or any accounting or ERP system used by Company and support local business unit Controller with GL account analysis.
• Review and discuss with local business unit Controller on procedures to clear aged items in balance sheet accounts.
• Support the audit process by managing expectations and providing schedules on a timely basis.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Team Manager and/or Team Lead.
Job Requirements:
• Degree in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration or equivalent with professional qualifications (ACCA/CPA/MIA), fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English.
• Independent, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify the root cause of issues and implement corrective actions
• Able to multi-task, pay attention to details, thrives in fast-paced environments.
• Candidate who has Shared Services Centre (SSC) experience is an added advantage.
