The University of Montana, Department of World Languages and Cultures, within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, invites applications for a non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor of Spanish to begin August 2027.

The department is seeking candidates with a specialization in Latin American Studies.

Responsibilities:

Position Details

Non-Tenurable Faculty: Department of World Languages and Cultures

Title: Assistant Teaching Professor

Schedule: Full time, academic year position

Salary: $50,000- $55,000 (salary depends on qualifications and experience)

Primary Duties: Primary duties include teaching, scholarship, and service

Qualifications

  • A PhD with expertise in Latin American Studies
  • Native or near-native proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Demonstrated successful record teaching Spanish language at the college level
  • Demonstrated commitment to effective collaboration, collegiality, and student success
