What You'll Do

As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work alongside Lead Teachers and the school team to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.

You'll:

  • Assist with daily classroom activities and lesson plans
  • Support age-appropriate learning activities and classroom instruction
  • Help create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
  • Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Build positive relationships with children and their families
  • Communicate professionally with parents, teachers, and management
  • Assist with documenting children's development and progress
  • Help establish consistent classroom routines and expectations
  • Respond to children's individual needs with patience and empathy
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
  • Work collaboratively with Lead Teachers and your teaching team
  • Follow health, safety, and state licensing requirements
  • Learn and develop the skills needed to advance into a Lead Teacher position

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with children, families, and coworkers
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Flexible and adaptable in a busy classroom environment
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and education
  • Interest in growing professionally within Early Childhood Education

Previous childcare experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right candidate who has a passion for working with children.

Pay: $12.98–$16.46 per hour

Final compensation is based on experience, skills, geographic location, and internal equity. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives and/or additional benefits.
