What You'll Do

As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work closely with Lead Teachers and the school team to provide a positive and engaging classroom experience.

You'll:

  • Assist with daily classroom activities and lesson plans
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
  • Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Engage children in age-appropriate learning activities and play
  • Build positive relationships with children and their families
  • Communicate professionally with parents, teachers, and management
  • Assist with documenting children's development and progress
  • Help maintain consistent classroom routines and expectations
  • Respond to children's individual needs with patience and empathy
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
  • Work collaboratively with your teaching team
  • Follow health, safety, and state licensing requirements
  • Learn and grow your skills with the goal of advancing into a Lead Teacher position

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work effectively with children, families, and coworkers
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and education
  • Willingness to grow professionally and pursue advancement opportunities

Previous childcare experience is a plus, but we're committed to helping the right candidate learn and grow.

Pay: $13.00–$15.00 per hour

Final compensation is based on experience, skills, geographic location, and internal equity. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives and/or additional benefits.
