The Goddard School of Collegeville is seeking positive, reliable, and enthusiastic Afternoon Resources to join our team! This is a great position for college students or Junior or Seniors in high school who are looking to earn some money after school. Our afternoon staff members hold a variety of roles in the school, including assisting in the classrooms, helping to close down classrooms, and assisting with various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities of an Assistant Teacher /Afternoon Resource include the following:

• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
• Supporting each child’s social and emotional development using appropriate teaching and developmental techniques.
• Establishing positive and effective family relations through in-person and written communication using electronic platforms
• Using technology to assess children's progress and development
• Maintaining a clean classroom and school environment

Qualifications

• Shows empathy and compassion for young children (Critical)
• Reliability and consistency in showing up to work
• Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Compensation: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
