About the Position
Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking dedicated team members to support our Havertown Center. We are hiring for both a Float and a part-time Preschool Assistant Teacher.


Assistant Teacher Float
This role provides support throughout our center working with older toddlers, preschool and kindergarten aged children while helping to ensure consistent care and coverage throughout the center.
  • Step into different classrooms as needed to help with coverage and maintain ratio.
  • Support daily routines and classroom activities
  • Provide active supervision at all times to keep children safe
  • Build and maintain relationships with children, families, co-workers and administrators.
  • Follow and adhere to the responsibilities outlined by the lead teacher for the classroom.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized environments

Part time Preschool Assistant Teacher
This role provides support to a Lead Teacher in a Preschool Classroom. You will work together to create a nurturing, relationship-based classroom environment.
  • Support implementation of activities based on lesson plans
  • Assist with daily routines, including caregiving and active supervision
  • Support the Lead Teacher in a stimulating, aesthetically and educationally appealing room décor.
  • Complete documentation regarding children’s development and daily routines
  • Engage in Wonderspring staff meetings, attend in-services, external training programs, and actively participate in center events to foster professional development, collaboration, and a cohesive team environment.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of experience working with children, infants and toddlers preferred
  • Strong teamwork and flexibility
  • Ability to keep information private
  • Basic knowledge of childcare rules
  • Must meet all required clearances and health checks
