Assistant Teacher – Full Time
Location: The Learning Experience – Hell’s Kitchen, NY
Pay: $18–$20 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Hell’s Kitchen is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role supports classrooms serving infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children in a structured, play-based learning environment.

Our school focuses on building confidence, curiosity, and social-emotional growth through hands-on learning and consistent daily routines.




As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with Lead Teachers and leadership to maintain a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment while supporting children throughout their day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Lead Teachers with implementing activities aligned with the L.E.A.P. curriculum
  
  
• Support classroom routines including meals, transitions, rest time, and play
  
  
• Engage children in age-appropriate learning experiences across multiple classrooms as needed
  
  
• Help maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety
  
  
• Communicate professionally with families during arrival and dismissal
  
  
• Follow all NYC Department of Health licensing and safety regulations
  
  
• Collaborate with teaching teams to ensure smooth daily operations
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
  
  
• Experience in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting preferred
  
  
• Early Childhood Education coursework a plus
  
  
• CPR and First Aid preferred or willingness to obtain
  
  
• Must meet all NYC childcare licensing and background requirements
