Assistant Teacher – The Learning Experience Tuckahoe Location: The Learning Experience – Tuckahoe, NY
Pay: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience and credentials)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Tuckahoe is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team of early childhood educators. Our center provides a warm, supportive, and engaging environment where children learn through play, curiosity, and hands-on exploration.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in daily classroom activities and routines.
• Assist with implementing The Learning Experience curriculum in a fun, age-appropriate way.
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
• Engage with children through play, conversation, and exploration.
• Communicate positively and professionally with children, families, and teammates.
• Help with classroom organization, cleaning, meal/snack time, diapering and/or toileting (as age-appropriate).
• Ensure compliance with all New York childcare licensing standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, camp, or nanny role preferred.
• Coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Positive, reliable, flexible, and team-oriented.
