Job Description

Position: Assistant - Tag

Role Purpose

To support finishing operations by performing short bar removal in the cold shear area and tagging finished materials in the bundling area, ensuring safe handling, proper identification, smooth material flow, full traceability, and prevention of mix-ups.

Accountabilities & Activities

1. Responsibilities

• 
  Assist in size/pass changing activities to utilize shift delays effectively.
• 
  Ensure smooth material flow on the cooling bed to avoid overlapping, piling, or bars getting stuck.
• 
  Assist in safe and efficient removal of short bars from the cold shear area.
• 
  Perform accurate tagging of rebars/bundles with correct identification details.
• 
  Maintain proper segregation to avoid mix-up of size, grade, or heat number.
• 
  Maintain clean and organized work area (5S compliance).
• 
  Follow all safety rules, quality standards, HSE requirements, and management directives.

2. Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• 
  Work as per shift supervisor instructions in tagging, short bar handling, or housekeeping activities.

3. Ensure Safety and Regulatory Compliance

• 
  Support a strong safety culture and safe work practices.
• 
  Assist in managing safety risks and monitoring equipment.
• 
  Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and company policies and procedures.

Qualifications / Experience

Minimum Qualification

• 
  High School

Professional Experience

• 
  Minimum 2 years' experience in the same field
• 
  Safety awareness and teamwork
• 
  Knowledge in gas cutting operation
