As our next Assistant Sweeping & Portering Manager, you will support the Sweeping & Portering Manager

in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our sweeping and portering teams. This role requires a self-

motivated and detail-oriented leader who can help manage daily operations while working toward the

team's long-term goals. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and work well in a team

environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists the Sweeping & Portering Manager in overseeing the day-to-day workflow
• Helps create employee schedules across all locations
• Auditing routes
• Assists with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive, providing recommendations for

promotion and salary adjustment as appropriate

• Collaborates with the team to set performance standards
• Helps conduct regular staff meetings to ensure that goals and objectives are clearly communicated;

provides guidance and leadership to enable staff to meet these goals and objectives

• Identifies training needs and opportunities; assists in developing and implementing a plan for meeting

those needs

• Maintains and develops positive relationships with existing clients, demonstrating excellent customer

service and setting an example for other staff

• Ensures staff are following company guidelines and policies
• You will drive a company vehicle to and from jobsites
• Sweeping and portering when needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent leadership and management skills
• 2+ years of experience required
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate
• Proficient with Google Suite or related software
• Active driver license and clean driving record
• Availability to work varying hours as needed, including day and overnight shifts
• Ability to work on ladders/roofs and near retention ponds
• Ability to lift 100 lbs or more
• Willingness to work outside in all kinds of weather and come in contact with trash

This position is perfect with a range of backgrounds such as; General manager, Fleet manager, Construction

manager, Sweeping manager ex. experience is a plus.
