Assistant Survey Technician – Auckland

Join our Auckland Survey team and support the delivery of surveying and civil engineering projects across Auckland and the wider region. You’ll assist with field surveys, data capture, calculations, equipment management and project delivery while building your technical skills alongside experienced professionals.

What you'll do

  • Assist with surveying services across infrastructure and land development projects.

  • Prepare, maintain and calibrate survey equipment for field work.

  • Undertake subdivision, engineering, topographical, GIS, GPS and UAV surveys.

  • Complete survey calculations, data processing and QA documentation.

  • Support project managers with planning, investigations and technical delivery.

  • Contribute to civil engineering and roading projects through survey and design support.

  • Collaborate across WSP to deliver quality outcomes for clients.

About you

  • NZ Diploma in Surveying or currently working towards one.

  • Ideally 1–3 years’ experience in surveying or a related role.

  • Experience with Trimble survey equipment and software is advantageous.

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Collaborative, client-focused and comfortable working in a team environment.

  • Professional, proactive and committed to continuous development.

  • Full, clean, NZ driver license.
