Directs activities of workers in the construction of buildings, to include airports, stadiums, hotels, infrastructure, or other construction projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.Other duties may be assigned.
Primary duties and responsibilities include the following:
Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
Assembles members of organization (supervisory, clerical, engineering, and other workers) at start of project.
Assist Estimating in bidding opportunities and Preconstruction services.
Engage in the development of detailed CPM Schedule.
Engage in the development of detailed scopes of work.
Engage in the development of project site logistics plan.
Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents.
Manage Russell’s labor force to achieve optimum performance.
Review and understand material budgets and negotiate purchase orders.
Review and understand equipment budgets and negotiate rental rates.
Monitor project costs and identify areas for improvement.
Provide leadership in quality process.
Provide leadership in the safety and accident prevention programs.
Document daily construction activities.
Engage in weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
Issue and maintain short term schedules.
Work with Project Engineers in Shop Drawing and Submittal process.
Verify that As-Built drawings are kept current.
Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
Performs work in a safe manner and actively encourages others to do the same.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or 3 - 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
