Located at Elon University's Charlotte Campus in South End, the Assistant Staff Director will support the Staff Director in managing the Flex Program and the day-to-day operations of the Charlotte campus. This position is responsible for executing events, supporting students, and maintaining the administrative systems that keep the program running. Elon Law's Flex Program is a part-time JD program for working professionals and other place-bound students in Charlotte, NC.
This position is on-site at the Elon Charlotte campus Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., when Flex Program students are in class, with flexible Friday hours based on operational needs. The Assistant Staff Director will serve as a primary point of contact for students during evening hours, helping them navigate the program and connecting them with appropriate law school resources and services.
This role reports directly to the Staff Director of the Flex Program and will also support the Vice Dean, visiting Greensboro faculty and staff, and Charlotte campus faculty. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
2-4 years of experience in an educational, administrative, or professional office setting. Bachelor's degree required
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience in higher education, student affairs, event coordination, or program administration.
Familiarity with law school environments, professional programs, or graduate/continuing education is a plus.
Experience supervising student workers, managing budgets, or working with graphic design and communications tools (such as Canva and Microsoft Forms) is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Serve as an on-site staff presence during evening hours; help students navigate the program and connect them with law school resources including Career Services, Academic Success, the Library, and other student support offices
• Plan and execute campus events and programming, including managing logistics, vendor and food coordination, room reservations, setup, and day-of operations
• Support orientation, graduation, and other signature program events in coordination with the Staff Director and Administrative Assistant
• Work with the Administrative Assistant to coordinate academic and faculty support logistics, including exam scheduling, room assignments, proctoring support, classroom setup, and hoteling office management for the Charlotte campus
• Manage campus communications, including digital signage, student announcements, event materials, social media content, and program website updates
• Maintain expense tracking, budget reconciliations, supply inventory, and facility coordination for the Charlotte campus
• Supervise Admissions Ambassadors and support admissions efforts, including welcoming prospective students and assisting with admissions events
• Administer student surveys, track engagement data, and compile reports to support program assessment and institutional reporting
• Support the Staff Director, Vice Dean, and other faculty and staff with operational, administrative, and programmatic needs as they arise
• Maintain shared operational systems, program records, and the annual event calendar
• Other duties as assigned
